Fall 2011 Day of Service Opportunities:Group pic before volunteeringLakeshore Nature Preserve: Help maintain the Lakeshore path that we all value! Join the Friends of the Lakeshore Nature Preserve and Preserve staff to remove invasive woody shrubs like buckthorn and honeysuckle, which cause problems for the lakeshore eco-system. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of nature while searching for this invasive plant off trail.

Literacy Network:
Help support the Literacy Network's goal that "Every person in Dane County will have the literacy skills needed to independently pursue their life goals, support their family and be active in their community." We will contribute to this mission by doing some time consuming office work such as putting together orientation paperwork, making thank you cards, and addressing envelopes.

CROP Hunger Walk: CROP Hunger walks raise money to end hunger in local communities and around the world. The money earned helps to provide food and water, as well as resources that empower people to meet their own needs. Help support this effort in Madison by supporting the walk in Madison. At this volunteer site you'll support this effort in Madison by helping to set up the walking course, register walkers, and take-down the course.

Bayview Foundation: Bayview provide housing, human service, arts appreciation and cultural awareness.Volunteers would be doing clean-up in our children's garden, raking leaves & sweeping in an effort to help with their fall clean up to help create a nice atmosphere for the people they serve.
