IEngage Fellowship

Generously Supported by the Shalom Hartman Institute
Hillel at the University of Wisconsin is pleased to present the IEngage Fellowship – a year-long program intended to promote thought leadership about Israel. The program is intended for student leaders who are ready to engage in a values-based discussion about Israel, about the Jewish aspirations for a nation-state, and about challenges within and outside of the Jewish people to the reality of a Jewish homeland.
IEngage uses a text-based format to initiate deep conversation and camaraderie among its participants. We will use both Jewish traditional texts from Tanakh and Talmud, as well as laws enacted throughout the state’s history, speeches made about the state in its early stages and in contemporary times, etc.
IEngage is a program of the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem and in North America. The Shalom Hartman Institute is a pluralistic center of research and education deepening and elevating the quality of Jewish life in Israel and around the world. Learn more about Shalom Hartman here.
What will IEngage look like on the University of Wisconsin campus?
