Welcome to the Family

“At Hillel, we help students to create a space that helps them figure out who they are and how they want to be. Eighteen- to twenty-one-year olds, they’re just beginning to figure the world out, to find out what it means to think independently. Our goal is to guide students in discovering their Jewish identity and offer students the opportunity to create their own experience.”

Greg Steinberger, President and Chief Executive Director of UW Hillel

Shalom!

We are so excited to welcome you and your student to UW Hillel!

We are here to support your child’s needs and interests in any way that we can.

Our team is dedicated to meeting and engaging with students to empower them as leaders and identify what they want to experience through Jewish life on campus. We do our best to fulfill their wishes through learning opportunities, programs, and immersive events.

We know that students come from many different backgrounds, so UW Hillel provides opportunities to allow them to explore their Judaism on their terms as a college student. Whether they need a place to celebrate the holidays far from home, are seeking a leadership role, or looking for a community on campus, we are here to support them.

We hope you will take a moment to join our network by subscribing to our e-newsletter to stay up to date on all the fun things happening at Hillel. The bottom line for us is the same as is for you: There isn’t anyone in the world more important than your student. That is why we are here.

UW Hillel's passionate staff is here to provide your student with a home away from home. We are here to inspire and excite students as they embark on their own Jewish journey, and to help make their college lives a little smoother. We encourage you to stop by just to stay ‘Hi’ or stay for Shabbat or an event the next time you are on campus!

Thank you for trusting us with your student!
