Yiddish Language, Literature & Culture

At a time when there is no shortage of people telling us how to be Jewish and trying to limit the ways in which can engage with our Jewishness, it’s more important than ever to explore our roots (or other aspects of Jewish heritage and culture, even if they aren’t YOUR roots). It is important to get back in touch with the traditions and folkways that can nourish and fulfill our need for community and belonging.

Together we’ll dive deep into the Jewish diaspora, read some of the classics of Yiddish literature and poetry, learn about Hasidism and mysticism, do some singing, and eat some Ashkenazi cuisine.

Meets every Thursday starting on March 5th from 6pm-7:30pm • Dinner Provided
