FreshFest

FYSH (First Year Students at Hillel) is an active group offering many events throughout the year. It offers programs like our Early Access Freshfest Retreat, bonfires at Hillel, Freshmen Shabbats, ice cream socials, mentorship programs, res hall events & leadership opportunities.

FreshFest is an early move-in orientation program held in August before official resident hall move in begins. Freshfest is designed for Jewish first-year undergraduate students at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Please fill out the application form to confirm your spot. Dates will be Sunday, August 24 through Tuesday, August 26 and the program costs $300 to participate in. Spots are limited.

FreshFest is an incredible opportunity for new Badgers to better acclimate to campus and life in Madison. FreshFest is limited to just 100 students and offers new students

  • Early Dorm Move In – Move in on Sunday instead of Tuesday (avoid the craziness!)

  • Bon Voyage Dinner with your family at Hillel

  • 2 days of programming with Hillel Staff to tour campus and campus buildings, meet other Jewish students, explore opportunities on campus and around Madison, kickstart their freshman year!

  • All meals included, except one State Street lunch

  • Evening social events

  • Partnered with involved Jewish students
