Coming together as a community to celebrate Shabbat is one of the many things that makes UW Hillel such a special place to be. Celebrating Shabbat at UW Hillel offers a unique opportunity to bring together many members of the community, fostering a warm, communal atmosphere.

Every week, roughly 150 students join together at Hillel for Reform or Conservative student-led Shabbat services, followed by Shabbat dinner. Dinner is served at the UW Hillel by Adamah Neighborhood Table. Friday night dinners are free (!!!) for students thanks to the generous support of the Sinaiko Family.

Shabbat Meals

"I love going to Shabbat services because it gives me a place to reflect on the week with familiar tunes and prayers. Having an hour to just sit and think helps connect me to home in a different way than I would anywhere else on campus. And seeing the familiar faces every week helps create a really nice community as well!"
- Hannah S., Junior

Each week our Adamah Chefs create delicious Shabbat Dinners - Vegetarian and Vegan options are always available too! Check out our Instagram @UWHillel for menus
